"Ozzy" The Commonwealth Bull

'Ozzy' a 33ft tall mechanical bull, was originally created for the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham. He was operated and manoeuvred by a motorised vehicle that carried him around the stadium during the performance.
Ozzy was then arranged to be broken down and recycled, but after a successful petition, it was decided that he would be installed in Birmingham New Street Station. But first, he was given to my team for a make-over. We redesigned and made every piece of his outer shell with fire retardant GRP. Although he can no longer move, he is still able to further impress commuters by swinging his head and swaying his tail from side to side.
